Missouri's SHRP2 National Traffic Incident Management Responder Training program is delivered by a vast group of diversified trainers from all response disciplines across the state. Administrative support and POST certification is provided by MoDOT
Traffic Incident Management Training for First Responders
- This training is POST certified in the State of Missouri under P.O.S.T control number 4233 for award of 2 legal hours and 2 technical hours.
- This course is accredited for 4 Continuing Education Units for Fire Instructor Certification by the Missouri Division of Fire and Safety for fire personnel.
- This course is certified through the Missouri Training Partnership for 2 hours Legal Study and 2 hours Technical Study for telecommunicators.
The Traffic Incident Management Training brings together police, firefighters, state and local departments of transportation, towing, medical personnel and other responders who support traffic incidents.
This training has been endorsed by the following national associations: American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), American Public Works Association (APWA), Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen's Association (CVVFA), Division of State Associations of Chiefs of Police (SACOP), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Intelligent Transportation Society (ITS) of America, International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST), International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC), International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF), International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA), National Association of State EMS Officials (NASEMSO), National EMS Management Association (NEMSMA). National Sheriffs' Association (NSA), National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC), Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA), and Transportation Research Board (TRB).
